PINTEREST'S NEW LENS FEATURE WILL ALLOW USERS TO SEARCH FOR PRODUCTS WITH IMAGES

With billions of Pins on Pinterest, you'll always find ideas to spark inspiration. When you discover Pins you love, save them to boards to keep your ideas organized and easy to find.

Interestingly, Pinterest is now the fastest-growing platform for online content sharing, according to a new report from online content distribution service ShareThis.

The report analyzed the millions of monthly shares made through ShareThis in the third quarter of 2013 across more than 120 social media channels and two million websites and discovered that content sharing on Pinterest jumped 19.2% in the latest quarter of 2013, and LinkedIn sharing grew 15.1%. Facebook saw content sharing rise 14.7% while sharing on Twitter fell 7.6%.

Pinterest has introduced a new feature for shopping. Pinterest has introduced the Shop tab in Lens Camera Search. This feature allows users to click on the camera in the search bar to create or upload an image to view the product in the feed based on it in the Shop tab.

This feature is a very useful feature if the search results show products that are also in stock. 

Before introducing the Shop tab, Pinterest has introduced a number of shopping features. According to Pinterest, more than half of the items photographed with the lens feature are fashion and home decor.
